On Monday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm from the start of May, we host the popular ECB All Stars and Dynamos Courses for girls and boys who are looking to find out what cricket is all about and to enjoy learning the skills of batting, bowling and fielding. For more details click here.
Women’s nets are also run on a Monday evening from 7:00-8:30pm. We encourage our best junior girls (there are lots of them) to attend this practice too.
On Friday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm it’s our Juniors’ Night, where we welcome U9s to U15s to play in preparation for matches. We do encourage you to sign up for membership of the club before the season starts, as we are often oversubscribed and are keen to ensure that our coaching ratios allow our players to have the best cricketing experience at Horsford. Details of membership can be found here.
Friday evenings start at the end of April and present a wonderful opportunity for our youngsters to learn, make friends and have fun. Coaching is led by experienced, qualified coaches, we encourage parents to join in with coaching and as you’d expect, the bar in the pavilion is open, and the barbeque is fired up. Fridays also allow the children to socialise and play safely after they’ve finished practicing and for parents to relax.
Our teams play in the U9 Softball and U9 Hardball Leagues, U11 Tier 1 and 2 Leagues, U11 Girls Hardball and Softball Leagues, U13 Girls and Boys Hardball Leagues, the U15 League and the Knockout Cups. We arrange friendlies to help our players transition from softball to hard ball, run both Easter and Summer Cricket Camps and keep our Juniors’ Night going throughout the Summer Holidays.
